Multi-Utility Heat Pumps for Rural Applications

Subcategory (under Clean Energy): Cross Cutting
Technology Readiness Level (TRL): TRL 4 - Early prototype
Technology Outline (Process Description)

Versatile, Efficient and Green Multi utility Heat Pumps, MUHP_RA are Cost Effective and Simple to Used Deployable in Rural House Holds or Community Centres

Designed using novel Heat and Mass Exchangers to enable tapping cooling and heating effects for simultaneous cooling and heating/drying. Storage of cooling and heating effects help manage mismatch in cooling and heating demands with respect to quantity and time. Simultaneous cooling of water/milk and fruits/vegetables is also possible

Compact and Sturdy Design ensuring Long Life, Less Maintenance and Affordable, hermetic compressor and aplastic exhaust fan are the only moving parts.

Capable of Flexibly Catering to the Following Needs in Rural Areas Affordably

Cooling of Water and/or Milk, Precooling of Fresh Fruits & Vegetables, Short-term storage of Fresh Fruits &Vegetables, Heating of Water, Drying of Agro Produce, Herbs and Spices
