ecoMonitor
Subcategory (under Clean Energy): Cross Cutting
Technology Readiness Level (TRL): TRL 4 - Early prototype
Technology Outline (Process Description)
ecoMonitor will be equipped with multiple sensors for real time monitoring of the local air quality parameters and deployed as a portable digital control platform. The collected data will be transmitted to the adequate ecoTools for analysis. ecoMonitor is included smart sensors that will monitor air quality to provide insights regarding possible corrective actions and impact of the RES integration. The ecoMonitor tool will focus on the development of low-power, portable, low-cost control platform. The system will be battery-powered with solar panel-based charger unit, and it is intended for use in remote environmental monitoring to collect information about ambient air quality parameters (such as NOx, Ox, SOx, CO, PM2.5 and PM10 micro particles etc. including ambient temperature and relative humidity).
Salient Features/Advantages
- Measurement of ambient air quality parameters(NO2, SO2, CO, O3, PM 5/10, Humidity)
- Remote monitoring
- Real time data transmission
- Solar Powered system
- Visual alarm
Key Outcomes
- Provide insights regarding possible corrective actions and impact of the RES
- Providing improved access to clean, affordable, and reliable energy with substantial social and health
- Monitor the improvement of local air quality
- Solar powered with low power consumption – long power back up
- The sensed parameters are transmitted to other ecoTools for remote monitoring, display and analysis
