Technology Outline (Process Description)

A Solar Powered, Low TCO, High ROI, Universal, Scalable, Future Ready, Community Owned and Operated, Autonomous Smart Mast Light with Energy Storage to Enable, Empower, Inform and Connect Bharat’s Smart Villages using Long Range, Low Power, Wireless Wide Area Network For AGRI-IOT Applications.

The solar energy is harvested using PV Panels and stored in Li-Ion batteries using Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) Charge controllers. The LORAWAN gateway and sensor network are configured to provide customized agriculture services such as Environment Monitoring / Detection / Warning Systems (eg. Forest Fire / Floods) / Soil Condition Monitoring / Remote Pump Operations.

LORA is a long-range, low-power wireless platform for the Internet of Things (IOT) and operates on the license-free sub- gigahertz bands reserved internationally for industrial, scientific, and medical purposes. LoRa is a spread spectrum modulation technique derived from chirp spread spectrum (CSS) technology that transmits small chunks of data at low bit rates. Data can be transmitted at a longer range (approx. 10 KM) compared to technologies like WiFi, Bluetooth, or ZigBee. These features make LoRa well suited for sensors and actuators that operate in low-power mode.
